Our history
Bennett’s Contracting, Inc. originated from a dream, a need, and a great level of determination. Ivan and Rena Bennett started the company in 1968 to provide for his family (the need) and to build something of value (the dream). Ivan’s years of hard work with a Louisville, Kentucky based commercial ceiling and floorcovering company provided him with the expertise necessary to start the company. Under their leadership, Bennett’s has become a complete source for commercial interior finishes including exterior insulation and finish systems, metal stud framing, drywall systems, acoustical ceilings, and floor covering. Bennett’s was incorporated in 1985 but was officially established in 1976. We started as a residential floor covering business out of Ivan’s garage and started doing commercial interior finishes on large commercial projects a few years later.
Bennett’s operated as two divisions, residential and commercial, with the company name of Bennett’s Carpets, Inc. until 2022. In 2018, our commercial department had outgrown their office space at our 149 Steve Drive location and moved their offices and warehousing to 109 Steve Drive as we continued to operate as one company, but two divisions. On September 1, 2022, we officially broke our two divisions into two individual companies. That’s when our commercial division became Bennett’s Contracting, Inc. Bennett’s Contracting, Inc. continues to grow and provide our customers and contractors with professionalism and exceptional service with reasonable prices. We are still the same company, just with a new name. With our dedication, resources, and experience, you can depend on Bennett’s Contracting, Inc. for your next project, big or small.

OUR FOUNDERS
Raised in rural Kentucky, these two high school sweethearts put everything they had in family and the business. Ivan, which is NOW post 80 years young, is still at the office everyday. Rena passed from this life on March 27, 2021 now awaiting her soul mate in heaven,
